Last Meeting: 7.30pm, Wednesday Feb 13, 2019

Club members of all levels of experience and skill got something (particularly our amazing secretary, Michele!) from Toby Darley's informal and fun presentation on Camera Basics.  From the exposure triangle to flying whiteboard markers and all the combinations of focus options in modern digital cameras, Toby covered a lot of ground with lots of member interaction.  Toby, who is now working for Nikon Australia, also provided product information to interested Club members on Nikon products, including the new Nikon Z-Series cameras.

The night was kicked of with an introduction to the new Club year by our president, Jeannette Macdonald, followed by an overview of our 2019 Program presented by Tony Endersby from the Program sub-committee.

Next Meeting: 7.30pm, Wednesday February 27, 2019

Matt Makinson, the Director of Black and White Photographics, will be talking about Colour Management in photography, including calibrating your monitor - a really important part of the jigsaw in achieving the accuracy and consistency of colour, contrast and brightness photographer's strive for in their images.  Come along, listen, ask, learn and enjoy.  If you're a Club member who wants to improve their competition images this is a great opportunity to learn about the, often confusing, subject of managing colour in digital images.

If you're at any level of photography and you have a thirst for learning more about creating great images then, even if you're not a member, please join us at any one of our club nights at the Mt Barker Community Centre, 31 Princes Street, Mt Barker on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday evening of each month starting at 7.30 pm.  Check out our 2019 Program for details.
