Next Meeting: early 2019

Please check back in mid December 2018 for the 2019 Program

Welcome !

Thank you for visiting the website of the Adelaide Hills Photography Club.

We are a group of enthusiastic, friendly people ranging from teenagers to active retirees with a shared passion for photography and aim to provide opportunities for members to learn about and improve their photography, regardless of their level of competence or equipment used.

The AHPC offers photographic competitions regularly through the year which are judged by qualified photographers who will give you valuable feedback.

We have interesting, talented guest speakers, field trips covering various topics, along with workshops, interclub competitions, and a variety of social activities throughout the year. Have a look at our current Program for more details about this year’s activities.

Membership is open to anyone, novice and advanced photographers alike, who want to share their interest in photography. The Club makes this enjoyable by building a friendly and comfortable atmosphere.

Meetings are held at the Mt Barker Community Centre, 31 Princes Street, Mt Barker on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday evening of each month starting at 7.30 pm. See our schedule above in the Program link.

Adelaide Hills Photography Club is a member of the South Australian Photographic Federation and have the opportunity to participate in SAPF’s activities including Training Courses, Events, Field Trips and annual competition and exhibition.

Since being established in 2011 members have encouraged and inspired each other in their photographic pursuits and personal growth and we are continuing to grow as a club.

If you would like to know more, the best way is to come along to one of our club nights. You don’t need to bring anything, or make a booking, just come! When you arrive, say hi, and we will look after you. All visitors are most welcome!

Congratulations Pat

Two of our photographer's, Henk de Weerd and Pat Umlauf, entered images in the Hills Art Collective Exhibition which was held at the Mt Barker Town Hall from November 17 to 25.
There were over 100 mixed media entries in the exhibition including paintings, etchings, fine pencil art, collage, sculpture and photography.  Categories were not confined to any particular medium but covered different areas of artistic merit - Composition and Design, Craftmanship, Abstract, Creative Interpretation and Emotional Impact, with one prize given for each category.  Judging was conducted by two professional artists who selected Pat's 50x100cm photo on canvas, entitled 'Ridge Top' (photographed at Arkaroola), as the winner in the Emotional Impact category.
Well done to both Pat and Henk for taking their photography to the next level and CONGRATULATIONS PAT on winning one of the prizes!
